THE NEW HOME OWNER'S HANDBOOK

This is a completely revised edition of a book which sold 115,000 copies in its original form. It is not a ""first aid to the ailing house"" type of book, but one for the prospective home buyer, builder, rebuilder or even renter, designed to help the average man understand plans, know what to look for in a house, decide wisely how and when and why to put in improvements, etc. It goes into the business side of financing a home, the question of materials, insulation, heating, air-conditioning, electricity, modern kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms. It discusses the prefabricated house, the garage, the problems of landscaping, water supply and sanitation. The last third deals with home repairs, tools, finishing, etc.
