Plenty of Burmuda lore, fact, guidebooking and local color stagesets a kidnapping, which, in spite of the size of the island, isn't unraveled except with the help of British Navy fliers. Lord, of the New York police, is sent to protect young Chloe who is promptly snatched and then two murders occur. He's not the brightest crimehound I've ever met.
