KIRKUS REVIEW

The second volume in what should be an indispensable series, all of them illustrated by the author. The seven chapters cover leaves; mammals; flowers; reptiles; plants which do not need sun; exploring at the seashore; and bird life of oceans and lakes. This reference book lacks an index, but it will be easy to use because of the italics in the text when new subjects are mentioned.
