BERNARD'S BRETHREN: With Copious Rubricated Annotations by George Bernard Shaw

Charles lacks the incisive pugilistic qualities of his famous cousin, but has a plentiful supply of gentle wit and this comes through in every vignette of the family, from the Scottish rebels of the 14th century, the Australian pioneers, the Irish spitfires, the ancestors and the relations today. G. B. S. comments are typically disputatious, barbituric, calling Charles down for romanticizing, for inaccuracy. An original sort of book with an appeal to Shavian collectors and to those who like out of the way bits.
