KIRKUS REVIEW

Baseball wise beyond his years"", nine year old Bruce Nelson gives his all to make the five-man pitcher squad of the Lions team. When assigned to the lowly position of right fielder, he is discouraged, but continues to be a delightful little fanatic. Once again, Mr. Jackson, a veteran-writer of young boys' sports stories, presents a smoothly written book about interesting young athletes. Young fans should receive this one with enthusiasm.
