KIRKUS REVIEW

Spanning the years when Spanish power was on the decline, Bolivar was writing epic history in Venezuela, pirates swarmed, and the Indies were changing hands overnight, this series of stories cover mainly the Admiral's tour of duty in the Caribbean. Good adventure, but not strictly speaking in the tradition of the novel.
