KIRKUS REVIEW

Introduction by editor, preamble to each play describing play, motive, biographical information on author. Good collection, representative of plays to be read, perhaps, rather than acted. Thoroughly modern, and the editor insists on rights of adults, to have uncensored dramatic material. Preponderance rather sordid in theme, but well handled. The United States, the British Isles, Germany, Austria, Hungary, France and Russia represented. Authors include:- Paul Green, Clifford Odet, Percival Wilde, John Drinkwater, Paul Geraldy, Hans Gross, Henri Duvernois, N. N. Evreinov and others.
