KIRKUS REVIEW

All- anyway too much- about Aphrodite, a cosmetics firm whose corporate image is dedicated to the body beautiful, and this is an inside view (Mesdames Glasser & Block have obviously worked in a concern such as this) of all the hypertensive nonsense which goes into promoting, marketing, merchandising, display and packaging of the products of the line. The actual story, which is pretty loosely corseted, deals with Gerard Prince, president-impresario of Aphrodite, and his discovery of the greatest beauty product of all, a Devonshire country girl Iris Rose. Then there's Martha, who works there, and her romance with George; and all kinds of company projects, from the launching of the new Casabah (sic) Pink lipstick, replacing the old Parlor Pink, to their Bath-Sheba oil which attracts a Food & Drug inquiry and then an Anti-Trust suit... A bubble bath, sans carbonation.
