KIRKUS REVIEW

Between us, girls, Candy runs counterpoint to Helen Girlish Brown only her advice is less sensational, more sane. Here one can learn about getting to meet the man (go to church), using ""a little trickery"" when you're unescorted and trying to see the town, dealing with the ""other woman,"" how to avoid becoming ""the other woman,"" getting raises, selecting gifts, entertaining etc. There is a particularly interesting section on tipping here and abroad and there is also a long finger wagging chapter concerned with ""Temptations and Follies"" which is illustrated a la Albert Ellis (one heart rending story tells a mistress who faced her ""yearly nights of truth"" each Christmas Eve). A good guidebook for the powder puff trade.
