Perhaps the moste useful volume of this excellent series, for automotive occupations cover so wide a field, not only of vocational possibilities but of universal interest that men and boys should find this stimulating. Not only is every step in the process of manufacture (as seen in the Rough River Ford plant), but the basic products involved are discussed at some length (rubber, steel, copper, plastics). Fully illustrated with photographs. From the vocational angle, the book is very valuable, for the author shows the system of advancement from within the ranks, chances which may grow out of apprentice jobs, system of training, and he charts the basis of estimating financial return. He touches lightly on the labor policy, as accepted in the Ford plants, but makes no mention of unions and the problems involved. With tremendous interest in technical training, this should be popular.
