KIRKUS REVIEW

Sportsmen All for all sportsmen! If there is anything a seasoned sportsman loves better than his guns it's his dogs and half the fun of the field would be wasted if he couldn't store up good dog tales. Probably no man has had a better chance than Paul Curtis to whom guns and dogs were as essential as breathing, as natural as hands and feet. The book consists of stories of twelve dogs he has owned, known, shot over or followed to hounds, a rare group of sporting dogs and non-sporting dogs, purebreds and nondescripts, each greatly and faithfully portrayed regardless of origin. It is a book no dog lover can afford to miss for besides all its other charms Marguerite Kirmse has done the illustrations. Bound in black, gold stamping.
