MAKE YOUR OWN MOVIES

Publisher: Coward, McCann

With the great number of books on photography published during the past two years, it is surprising that this should be the first practical layman's book on taking moving pictures. It is first rate in its field. The point stressed is not so much the artistic side (though that is given due attention) as the aspects that differentiate this form of photography from stills. Planning a continuity, building up a ""story"" for even home pictures, making them permanently interesting (what a blessing for the friends and relatives who have to look at them afterwards!) The problems of light, pace, estimating distance, etc., are also discussed. A capable job.
