The name of Glover has long been associated with the best writings on the life of our Lord. T. R. Glover has been a sort of guarantee. This isn't T. R. Part I goes through the gospels with photographic clarity dealing with the training and growth of the disciples as a group. Part II gives the individuals before and after, as it were -- vignettes painted with true artistry. It is scholarly, imaginative and interesting but we like it most for its compelling simplicity.
