TERRY AND BUNKY PLAY FOOTBALL

By

Publisher: Putnam

A very successful first book on football -- the hows and whys done in terms of a credible story of two kids, friends, who learn the fundamentals from the High School team star player who wants them to start off the right way. He gives his young nephew a football as a present; he teaches the little boys the right way to hold the ball, to throw, to catch, to block, to kick. And he explains very clearly the basic principles of the game, what it means to make a down, how to score, etc. Small boys will find it a practical how-to-play book, and will find that the game means more to watch. (And perhaps some adults will learn something from it, too.) Line action drawings by L.D. Warren are factually accurate.
