EAGLE IN THE WIND by Carl Carmer

EAGLE IN THE WIND

By

Publisher: Aladdin Books

A handsome volume with bright pictures -- three double spreads -- and numerous soft crayon sketches throughout the text of an unusual story of a weather vane that does a lot of thinking while he tells his folks on the farm about the weather. Then comes the hurricane, and the eagle has his wish fulfilled, and flies far away. But he lands in a muddy ditch and months and years pass before he is discovered, cleaned and sold to an antique dealer for $5.00. And eventually he is bought by a man who was a little boy on the farm long ago, and he's taken back to the very barn from which he had been blown.
