KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of 400 Million Customers presents his angle on our neighbors with whom we did not get acquainted and fills this took of what he has seen, heard, and learned about the continent of the future with illuminating details, and some unflattering comments. ""With the thesis that South America is"" promises, ""he Lowell Thomases about the individuality of each country and its principal cities, their had neighbor policy to each other, the idocyncrasies of all, the ineptness and mistakes of businessmen from the United States"" (but he praises them as well), he is sure we should not be undully alarmed by Nazi trade or propaganda, and he familiarizes the reader with the atmosphere colorfully, simply. Good.
