KIRKUS REVIEW

This is an excellent source of printed guidance on training, entering and winning swimming meets. The advice is straightforward and simply put and covers the competition swimmer's regime, the general rules of swimming controls and requirements for entry. It tells how Olympic trials are held and judged and discusses the performances of today's swimming stars. Not much around on this increasingly participant sport in which growing American swimmers are becoming more successful in international swimming events.
