A day in the life of a teddy bear, a curly, snuggly little animal. And though this day follows the pattern of any child's, the normal activities of eating, playing in the park, and being read to take on an extra dimension as the little bear's mother indulges her tiny charge. He is told, not one, but hundreds of stories; he is not given a summary ride on the swing, but is pushed and pushed and pushed. Eugene' Fern's colored drawings of a stuffed animal and his owner are gentle, in harmony with the appealing cadence of the text. A warm recapitulation of nursery experiences.
