KIRKUS REVIEW

Familiar things hidden by night are catalogued with an original touch in the simple text and the animated night scenes drawn in blue and yellow by Virginia Carten. Animals in the park, clothes hung on the chair, books in the book case, the milkman tiptoeing in the dawn- take fear out of the dark and give it a fascinating security. A first book for both author and artist, though their work has often appeared elsewhere in other media.
