This is more than a record of the Winnetka Plan. To be sure, most of the illustrations and case histories are, quite naturally, drawn from Winnetka. But the book is an important milestone in the progress of modern education, a survey of what is being done, what has been done and where it is getting us. Every alert parent concerned in methods of public education will find it challenging and stimulating. All teachers, not yet quite sure of progressive methods in education, will see that there is a middle ground. I found it easy reading and informative.
