THE INNOCENCE OF PASTOR MULLER

An invention in the form of a long short story, which tells of gentle, methodical Pastor Muller, as he is drawn into the mystery which surrounds the death of Kuno Schiller, a photographer, whom he remembered from an acquaintanceship twenty-five years ago, particularly as the man who married the one woman he had loved. To Muller is told, by the high official who had shadowed Schiller, the story of Schiller's career as an informer, based on his strange power of seeing into the minds and hearts of people through his photographic plates, and of exposing evil which had been kept secret. And as his ""N-ray"" eye brings ruin to many in high places, it also casts suspicion on the wife he loves, drives him to his death. While for Pastor Muller, who looks with innocent eyes upon the plates Schiller had cached, there is no evidence of sin... An idea- in play- and in an extension which is quite expert.
