THE LATE MISS TRIMMING

.... is the excessively eccentric housekeeper of a very old man, once a prominent painter, and her usurpation of the household has alienated his only surviving daughter and grandson. Her fatal fall arouses the suspicion of the Yard, and since there was little of value in the old house- or the estate- they have nothing to work with beyond speculation. An attractively skittish young couple assist-and keep the investigation pleasantly alert. Incidental entertainment.
