SUSIE STUART, HOME FRONT DOCTOR

Pub Date: Oct. 29th, 1943
Publisher: Dodd, Mead

A follow up to Susie Stuart, M. D. and once again, really contemporary medical background and experimenting, light manner, and not too tight a plot in a career book on hen medics. Susie starts research on rheumatic fever at Johns Hopkins, tests out a sulfa derivative on 29 children, teaches preventive medicine on the side, takes a course in epidemics, and eventually completes her special studies and turns her attention to research work on meningitis for the Army. Ultimately, she marries a young doctor, intent on maintaining her career as well as his own. Sound going.
