A noted team of dinosaur enthusiasts documents ""Kadimakara,"" a major traveling exhibit of Australian fossils that was on display at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in 1988--describing how the exhibit took shape with the help of designers and carpenters, white-gloved registrars to unpack and ""log"" the fossils, paleontologists to assemble giant skeletons, and others to create signs and set lights. Unusual species such as the 22-foot Megalania and the marsupial lion are of particular interest. While not as visually striking as Dinosaur Mountain (1989)--the indoor color photos here are less crisp, with some of the images confused by shadows and reflections--this is still a worthwhile addition to the fossil collection.
