MOIRA by Caroline Stafford

Will Moira who has come of age to inherit the House of Storms (this is Scottish) survive the fact? Why wasn't she told that she's required by her father's will to marry her first cousin Duncan Lindsay, so crippled and scarred at Balaclava that she's not sure he's really him? And he says she's not really her but the child of the woman who brought her up. This is one of the fuller-fashioned stories with two potential lovers, two murderers, and the sheep that keep dying before you have a chance to count them. But it will do better than many as a category convenience item.
