EDDIE AND LOUELLA

Eddie, the young hero of the Little Eddie books, is the pied piper of the town in which he lives. For it is to Eddie all lost and bedraggled animals come, and it is through Eddie that they find their owners. When Eddie's own pet, a loquacious bird named Louella, donates her services to a charity ball, she too joins the ranks of the lost, and it is only through a monumental campaign that Eddie finally is reunited with his parrot. Simple language and lots of zany adventure told distinctly from the point of view of the small fry will make this a favorite of young readers.
