Crotchety landlady Mrs. Terwilliger softens toward eccentric music teacher Uncle Max Dinwiddie when she takes up the flute; disdainful sea lion Jasmine flips for mate Jasper when he masters the tuba; reluctant nephew Willie is won over to the violin by the parallel between baseball teamwork and ensemble playing. Altogether awful.
