KIRKUS REVIEW

A gift of wit and the extreme felinity of Kate Seredy's striking fine line pencil drawings reveal the engaging adventures along a city cat's way from Greenwich Village to New Hampshire. Found ailing in a MacDougal Alley pipe by Officer Finnegan, the cat is taken to a city veterinary hospital where he is dubbed Finnegan II. Consequent circumstances see Finnie adopted by a friendly family, carted to the country and there he is happy- -and ready for more when his nine lives are extended. Told from Finnie's viewpoint, this is successfully unpretentious and purr-fect for the addicts.
