WILD VOICE OF THE NORTH by Carrighar Sally

WILD VOICE OF THE NORTH

The ""wild voice"" was that of a remarkable huskey, Bobo, who became friend and companion to Sally Carrighar while she was studying the lemmings in the Arctic. Huskies being largely wolf in their heritage are different from the ordinary domesticated dog. And Bobo was in addition a born leader, whose pride, sympathy and instinct guided his life. The description of the winter the two of them spent in Nome provides the core of the book. It is not just another animal story, but a unique picture of life in the North.
