THE MOON FOR YOUNG EXPLORERS

The author, who has handled scientific material before (Animals and Plants, 1962, p. 387, J-lll and others), now takes the young explorer on a fictional journey to the moon. Many facts are mentioned and sometimes discussed along the way; the first part of the slim volume is straight fact. But, once the author has climbed aboard the ship, the scales are weighted too heavily in favor of fictional events. This is perhaps a satisfactory way of introducing scientific material to the younger members of this age group, but a more thorough, factual account should also be relied upon.
