THE FACELESS MAN

It is John, just a youngster, who witnesses the killing of an import-exporter (he'd been skimming the heroin shipments) by the faceless man with a bloody, tattooed hand. The kid won't talk -- either to his parents or the police (first case for a Lt. Winters) -- but he's obviously going to be the mark. Even if straightforward, a vicious hook (Carter Wick is also Collin Wilcox) with a street-smart sense of the lowest forms of life.
