SIMPLIFIED DOG BEHAVIOR FOR HOME, CAR AND STREET

A matter of fact book of instructions for the proper department of house-hold pets, this makes no bones about the fact that a dog should never be a nuisance, that acceptable conduct is a matter of teaching by inducement rather than compulsion. The basic patterns of instruction given here, from puppyhood on, from responding to simple commands on to more difficult procedures take care of obedience necessary at all times; there is a section on obedience trials, requirements of and preparations for, and on starting a group obedience training class; the last part of the book is a glossary of dog-behavior training which offers a quick reference check against the text matter. An excellent how-to book for new dog owners as well as for those serious about having their dogs respected as well as admired.
