This is the story of the childhood and youth of a much loved writer of devotional literature. It was written by her shortly before she died a year ago. As she was received into the Church when she was six years old she calls herself ""a rocking-horse Catholic"" in distinction to a ""cradle Catholic"". It is the story of a singly and somewhat neurotic childhood in which the Church came to play the dominating role.
