KIRKUS REVIEW

A story of a Hopi child, and of her growth in knowledge of the arts of her tribe, of friendship with other tribes, of understanding of the white strangers and way of life. Packed with information, not too obviously administered, along with a story full of simple and credible adventure and the feel of the country and life. I liked it far better than nine tenths of the Indian stories.
