KIRKUS REVIEW

More of Seven for Cordelia (a beguiling tale of evacuees in Scotland, obviously based on fact -- see page 602 in issue of December 1st, 1941) -- and just as pleasing. A Scots lady and her husband continue their stormy guardianship of Jock, Rab and Jockie, contend with the difficulties of war time farming, and make Tharrus a home to be remembered. Jock early declares his loyalty to the farm; Rab's sunny ways and Jockie's daft ones provide their share to the household. There are feasts and holidays, there are the round of farm events, there is a newcomer in Cockney Tommy.
