SAINTS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

The general aim of this illustrated Catholic juvenile is to help inspire boys and girls to fulfill their Christian vocation and desire to become saints. The book consists of a series of short lives of saints whose names are most commonly given to Catholic children at their baptism. The saint's life is outlined in each case, certain anecdotes are dramatized suitably for the youthful reader, and fundamental lessons are drawn for possible imitation. The use of saints with common names and the arrangement of their lives in alphabetical order facilitates the reading of this book. The interested child should find using the material here an easy way to become acquainted with his patron as well as with other saints, and should make him aware of the significance of his own name from the Christian point of view. Imprimatur.
