GINNIE AND THE MYSTERY HOUSE

The latest story about Ginny and Geneva is readable enough but it may disappoint some faithful followers of the girls' experiences, for this starts off as a mystery with the standard props, a strange house, a mysterious old lady, things that go bump in the night, etc., but all the phenomena which seemed mysterious have rational explanations -- in effect, a build-up for a let-down. The girls do uncover the old lady's missing securities stashed away in the attic where she had placed them and forgotten them, but one feels a little cheated at the end, although the girls have fun in New York and go sleighriding in the course of the story.
