MY MOTHER'S HOUSE, MY FATHER'S HOUSE

A little girl tells how she lives with her mother during the week and with her father on weekends. In colorful illustrations filled with cozy detail, Trivas shows the seven rooms at Mom's house (two devoted to her profession as photographer), and the three at Dad's (a book-filled office, no visible kitchen). The girl feels comfortable and at home in both places, but has definite ideas about how she will live when she grows up: selecting generously from both life-styles, she'll also have a big welcome mat and a place for each parent to stay. Author and illustrator have worked well together here to present nicely individualized people making the best of a common situation.
