LOST ROAD

Well written adventure yarn that is at times downright exciting, for all it is reminiscent of pulp thrillers. An archeologist and his adventure-loving pilot crash in the Andes, and find a lost Indian tribe, strange, vicious and superstitious, centuries behind in habits and knowledge because of their isolation. The pilot becomes the master while his boss is held prisoner. A rescue expedition crashes too -- and the football hero brings them out, while the pilot stays behind to rule his savage subjects. Very hair-on-the-chest.
