KIRKUS REVIEW

Long on atmosphere- short on solution. To the eeriness of the Georgia swamplands is added triple murder when Broadway-acclaimed Peter brings assorted guests, including the girl he wants to marry, to the newly acquired old family plantation for Christmas. Fogs. snakes, supernatural warnings, ghosts, idiot children, blackmail, and scandal confuse the group to the end- when the killer suicides.
