KIRKUS REVIEW

Another participation book, this time built around emotions of a small boy. Was Jack glad or sad, sorry or hopeful, frightened or brave, mean or gentle? The first rhymes with pictures supply the one word; the last ones leave it to the small listeners to fill in. The idea is a good one; too bad the verse is so haiting.
