He'd better take a tip on humor from the famous Browns of the many cook books, for this Browne strikes me as a snob of the first water. He disdains so many of our established American customs in drinking, looks down his nose at cocktails, of course, and assumes the acceptance of a social code in this matter of knowing the vintages, etc. However, for those that share his opinion, here is a comprehensive book on malt liquors, distilled liquors, wines, cocktails, punches and wine in cookery, with an exhaustive list of wines and their years.
