BLACK BORNEO by Charles C. Miller

BLACK BORNEO

By

Publisher: Modern Age

Buoyant, casual, thoroughly entertaining account of a trip into the wilds of Dutch Borneo for moving pictures, having left a sick wife on the coast (see Cannibals and Orchids). River travel, army posts, the crew, the jungle people; canoes, native bearers, tabus, ghosts, head hunters, celebrations, the stone idols at Semang, the death of a Chinese assistant camera man, the search for gold mines, and a last hazardous spill. Again a background book, on a country now involved in war.
