KIRKUS REVIEW

This collection of editorials, first printed in the Christian Century, is an excellent discussion and probing of the Christian's attitude during war time. War is hell, a judgment upon us for our of the past, so that pacifism as formulated has proved to be a failure to face the situation. He believes, of course, in toleration of conscientious objectors, but also shows how untenable their position is. An excellent book for the non-religious, as well as religious, who want help in thinking through the actuality of war.
