KIRKUS REVIEW

The well known contributor to boys' magazines, and editor of anthologies here presents some half dozen baseball stories of his own, with considerable success. Mr. Coombs has the talent for integrating lessons in sportsmanship with good stories and he-man talk, sure to appeal to junior high men. These stories -- all built around the game, -- are concerned with jealousies evaporated, outcasts taken in, and team work per se.
