MYSTERY OF SATELLITE 7

Why had seven earth satellite vehicles launched at Point Victor been duds? Project Argus would be a fiasco if the final, eighth vehicle were not successful. Steve Kenton, son of one of the project scientists, and his friend, Karl, suspected sabotage. A perceptive cub reporter on the scent of the project story thinks the conch shell business the boys run as a sideline might make a short feature. They take him out to Beacon Island -- where Steve is sure they have been watched. Later the reporter, Ted Raymond, helps the boys to uncover the facilities of the agents who had established power stations to sabotage the project. Timely.
