TEEN-AGE CHAMPION SPORT STORIES

This collection of seventeen sport stories by a writer for boys is another in this series of slight stories manufactured to please the sports fan. Each story is built around a play-by-play report of a part of a game and the games very - basketball, baseball, football and some less popular games and sports such as pole vaulting, skiing and bobsledding. The stories are mostly of the courage-in-battle-triumphant-over-aversity order, with routine character, but a collection of this sort always has merchandise value for ""the boy who does not care for reading"". The two new titles in the series do not live up to previous levels.
