KIRKUS REVIEW

Timely -- with the Louis -- Schmeling fight in the offing -- a prize fight story, as the title implies. The story of the build up of a fight, a naive youth who believes all he is promised, who becomes a national figure, and who cares only for the money he makes. Not until he falls in love does het wise to what is going on, in staging fights, so throws the next one and manages to break his contract. From that point he stages his own comeback, an honest one. A good enough yarn, which men will like. Rental libraries, chiefly. Ran in Saturday Evening Post several months ago.
