COME UNTO ME by Charles Franklin Parker

COME UNTO ME

This most unusual book is intended for use in personal devotions. It consists largely of pictorials from our national parks. Each of the thirty-one pictures is accompanied by a brief spiritual interpretation of the scene and a short prayer. The author's purpose is to demonstrate how the national parks can give to men rest, a new purpose, inspiration and refreshment. He would have us regard the parks as ""invitations to a spiritual pilgrimage."" This is quite obviously a labor of love by one who knows our parks and what their beauty can mean to those who visit them. While the accompanying text is uninspired, the book itself will mean much to the thousands of Americans who know from personal experience the beauty of the parks. This would be a suitable gift book. It might also be displayed with travel books.
