THE GIANT OF CENTRAL PARK by Charles G. Shaw

THE GIANT OF CENTRAL PARK

By

Publisher: William R. Scott

This book has psychological significance, and its popularity with parents will depend on which school of thought in child training, they have adopted. Those who believe that fear can be conquered, in all ages, by facing it and finding out the truth will find this an unusual way of teaching children that lesson. Those who try to avoid scary things for their children will find the pictures and the excessive blackness of the printing job and the steps of terror by which the story is built up to a deliberate anti-climax, unnecessarily frightening for small children. The story tells of a spread of rumor of a giant in Central Park, back in the days of prehistoric man -- and of how the giant turned out to be a small boy playing pranks.
